ChinaInterActiveCorp Announced Funding
It has been talked for a long time, and now it is official. ChinaInteractive Corp announced its USD 48 million of funding from global investors led by General Atlantic. In addition to GA, the group includes DCM - Doll Capital Management, Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), Accel Partners, and Legend Capital. It also changed its name to Oak Pacific Interactive.(Press Release here)
The most important assets of Oak Pacific are Mop.com, an online entertainment community, and Donews, one of the most famous and influential IT community in China. Donews was acquired by Oak Pacific in last December. Donews just held its 6th anniversary party this afternoon in Beijing, more than 1000 peoples in IT industry attended the party.
Oak Pacific is expected to go IPO by next year.
