Toodou Stop Providing Blog Service: Gary announced in its blog that Toodou will not provide blog hosting service any more, they will focus on its core business podcast hosting. I do think it a smart change for Toodou, but it is still rare in China where many startups are so eager to follow “everything under one roof” idea.
Oak Pacific to launch two new sites: Oak Pacific, after its 48 million USD funding, plans to launch two new sites, renren.com, a classified advertising site and 5q.com, a social networking service for university students, as most of the website owned by Oak Pacific, 5Q is also an acquired asset. In addition, it is rumored that Oak Pacific is negotiate with Douban for acquisition, but Douban has denied it in blog.
No Guge: Google’s new Chinese name enraged many google fans in China, they even build a website called NoGuge (Note: Guge is the pinyin for Google’s Chinese name 谷歌) to for a anti-guge campaign to express their discontentment. They call on people to make signature to say no to Guge.
CITIC Bank Become Hexun Blog Network’s First Client: It is reported that CITIC Bank has sign an agreement with value of half a million RMB for advertising on Hexun’s blog advertising network. On the other hand, it is said now Hexun’s blog advertising network has over 200 blogs, while their goal is to find at least 1000 blogs to join in.
Sina Launch its Second Blog Contest: As the first one, the contest is only open to users who use Sina’s blog service. Sina also upgraded their blog service to add functions of photo albums and background music streaming on blog.

Andreas S. Weigend Invested In Xiaonei? A post in BBS of Tsing Hua University said the Andreas S. Weigend has invested in Xiaonei as angel investor. Xiaonei is a copycat of Facebook. Is it true or just a rumor?
