SubscribeBaidu Closed Enterprise Software Business
Yesterday afternoon, Baidu suddenly closed its enterprise software department, almost all of the staffs in the department were fired, the layoff was effective immediately.
Enterprise software department of Baidu provides comprehensive competitive intelligence and information retrieval softwares and solutions for enterprises and governments, their success cases include Ministry of Science and Technology, Haier and Joyo.com.
Though Baidu did not explain the reason of layoff to staffs, it is believed to be a strategic adjustment on its enterprise services. But just two days before tomorrow’s Baidu World 2006 event, it is not a good timing for layoff.
