SubscribeWodig: An Open Source ASP Digg System
Besides Youtube, Digg is so popular that almost any website want to have a digg-like feature. Therefore, open source systems as Diggclone and Pligg are here for them. For example, 1pin by Linkist is powered by Pligg.
Now, Mywowo, which is a digg-style site focued on digging China’s web2.0 sites(profile), intendeds to make their ASP-based digg system open source. The system, named Wodig, is expected to be released on Oct. 15 after public beta during these days. However, the system will not be available for download directly, you have to send application message to Mywowo to get the source code.
An open source system is not big news, but I do hope more open source system to emerge in China to enable more and more interesting web applications and tools for us.
