MySpace China’s latest news: A Reuter’s report said News Corp. is in early talk with Bokee.com and Blogcn.com, two main blogging service provider in China, in order to bring Myspace to China. News Corp said on last Wednesday it could launch a version of MySpace in China during this fiscal year (by the end of next June) if it found the right joint venture partner. Is Bokee or Blogcn their right partner? I don’t know. However, Danwei has one word for bringing Myspace to China: Dont!
Besides Myspace, News Corp. made a deal with China Mobile to launch a wireless platform to enable music fans to upload their own music onto a website. China Mobile will launch a service in its mobile Internet that enables mobile phone users to download the songs and vote for their favourites. The name and address of the website were not released. ListenSpace: listen to audio books: ListenSpace is a Shanghai-based startup specialized in providing digital audio editions of books. (via Laolu) Listening to audio books online is free, but if you want to download them into your PC or your mp3 players, you need to pay for it. The audio books publisher can partner with ListenSpace to put audio books for users to purchase, and get a cut from the revenue.
Sohu partner with Nokia for blog contest: Sohu Blog partners with Nokia to hold a blog contest with the theme of mobile life. Bloggers should write posts on their experience in using wireless service. More and more marketers in China are also start to enter into social media, such as blogs and SNS.
Seehaha added QR code for quick download: Seehaha, a video sharing site in China, added QR code for every video clips in the site. Then you can use your phone with camera to take a photo on QR code and quick download the video clips to your mobile phone. Of course, you should have a QR code software installed in mobile phone to identify it first.
