On Baidu’s official blog, they announced two new products: Music Box and Space Search.
Three features of Baidu Music Box has been revealed:
- It will try to find the most stable link automatically when you listen to preview of search result. If it happens to select a slow link for you, you just need to click the play button once more, and it will try the next link.
- It will support playlist. Well, this is not big news. The thing I guess from the screen capture is that users only need to input the song name but don’t have to input song link. Since most users just find links from Baidu itself, so now it will fill the link automatically for them. This is a slick design.
- Users can manage their playlists in Baidu passport center, which has become dashboard for all Baidu services.
As we noted yesterday, Baidu Zhangmenren is for public promotion. Now they finally reveals a product for private use.
Baidu Space Search is said to launch today. As of this writing, it hasn’t launched. When it is available, you will see a search bar on homepage of Baidu Space.
Users will be able to search for articles, spaces, photos and comments. This services could be a subversion of their yet-to-launch blog search. Search for comments is a good feature. I just had a quick check for Microsoft Live Space and found it doesn’t support comment search.
