Baidu Updates Blog Search; Baiduer launches English Version

Baidu blog searchAt noon today, Baidu blog search unveiled several new features: search inside blog, related blogs and similar articles, Baidu’s official blog is reporting.

Now if there’re multiple articles match your search keywords inside one blog, you will find a link named Search Inside This Blog after the blog title. In fact, you can use [blog:URL] to search inside a specific blog.

On top of the search result page, it will show you related blogs, if there’re any topic focused blogs match your query. Similar articles feature seems like a good way to find who has copied your posts. When there’re multiple identical posts in Baidu’s database, you will find a link called More Similar Articles right after the result entry.

Baidu blog search launched in early December last year. We have found that it lacks of lots of features and the coverage of blogosphere is far from complete. It’s good to see that Baidu keeps updating its services.

Another news today is that Baiduer, a dedicated Baidu news blog, has launched English version, Baiduer announced this one hour ago. Congrats to Yu Haoran, Ha Hasun and other Baiduer team members! This must be another interesting English news source about Baidu.

Has Google been responsible Look I am happy with the Chinese government actions.
“WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Top U.S. officials urged China Wednesday to abandon its proposal to require Internet filters installed on personal computers starting next month, warning the step could violate world trade rules” (Reuters, June 25, 2009) .
I don’t know what the heck is going on with Google these guys have forgotten their social responsibility. I am a regular user of Google but I am not going to use it again. As I just opened Google today and found nude contents in the normal news section. URL “http://news.google.com.pk/news?pz=1&ned=en_pk&topic=po&ict=ln”
My question is has Google been responsible enough that even the U.S. government is taking up its case with the Chinese government.
I was seriously offended by the contents as I opened the website on my workplace and I feel ashamed and angry. I was not expecting this from the top search engine in the world.
