SubscribeXunlei Found: User Generated Resource Center
Shenzhen based Xunlei, one of the largest download resource directories in China, has launched Xunlei Found, a Yahoo Answers like community last month, where Xunlei users can help each other to find free download resources.
Users are driven by a virtual score system. Users can post resource requesting post in the system with a score. Then others can reply to the post with download links. The one whose answer is accepted by the requester will receive 90% of the score. The score currently doesn’t have other use than reflecting level in the community. On the homepage of the service it shows 9000+ resources has been found. That’s about 300 resources a day, based on its one month age.
Also in this month, Xunlei rolled out its Bittorrent supported downloading client and a p2p streaming video plug-in Xunlei Kankan.
Xunlei has raised investment from Google China early this year. Its competitors include VeryCD, an Emule resource center and Kuaiche, a community centered around Flashget.
