IDG Announces Demo China 2007, Launches Cyzone with Zero2ipo

CyzoneApril 11, 2007 IDG announces Demo China 2007 in a press release. The 2nd Demo China will be held on Sept. 5-7, 2007 in Haidian district, Beijing. We mentioned event of last year in this post.

At the same time, IDG and Zero2ipo launched Cyzone. Sina reported this earlier this month. Cyzone is a social network for entrepreneur. It introduces itself as a community and self media platform. It also intends to collect all sorts of information and knowledge for startups.

With experience and connection of IDG and Zero2ipo, this community is luxury for sure. But it’s still too early to say it’s really useful. Instead of being a self media platform for entrepreneur, it looks more like a media itself, since it borrowed lots of content from external sources just like any traditional portals are doing.

Although the idea of a community for entrepreneur looks good, but it’s hard to find common topics for entrepreneurs with different background. And it doesn’t make much sense to put a CEO of a company listed on Nasdaq and the one of a company without a business model in one community. I think they should narrow their focus.

Maitian, CEO of Mayi, said a startup blog should be full of mistake, foolishness, wonder and hesitate. I tend to agree and look forward to reading more.
