MyToDo And The Missing Have-Done List

MytodoWe haven’t covered many productive tools on this blog. The only one I can find is Mangbar, which is an online memo, todo list, collaborative space, and a market for finding new partners. It’s a quite complete ecosystem for getting things done.

MyTodo.cn is a new and relatively simple GTD online tool. Its main feature is similar to Backpack of 37Siganls. You can organize your tasks in pages. On every page, you can add todo list and notes. Click the checkmark to mark things as done. You can drag and drop items in the list to re-organize the order. Every page can be shared with others, so as to enable collaboration.

The service is simple and to the point. Back to the title of the post, what’s missing? One step further, what’s missing in all the online todo lists out there?

The answer is a Have-Done List. Although it’s not really a missing feature. When you click the check mark, the done list is archived under your todo list, but it’s far from useful. I am surely not the first one thinking of this. A lot of people has already talked about it.

A Have-Done list should provide more powerful report of your personal achievements and its time spending. What about a weekly report showing me how many hours I have spent on critical tasks, not so important routines, feeds reading, emails and playing, so that I can review my time management.

Like Twitter, Have-Done list is a timeline of what things you have done. You can make it public if you want. But even a private recording should be useful. This can be a separate service. But it makes even more sense to be integrated in a todo list service. What do you think?

Take this as a feature request. Or if you know such a service, feel free to let us know. We wanna have a look at it.

MyTodo.cn is launched by Shanghai based Zopen, an active participant of open source development. They are managing Chinese Zope/Plone User Group.

We have a Zope/Plone based support ticketing system which can be used as a to-do list for an individual or for Teams and individuals in an organiztion. It can be used for internal tasks or tasks related to external entities (i.e. customers).

Every task is a assigned a ticket number, can be assigned, and has workflow (ie. accepted, in-process, finished) and of course can be set to private or public viewing (by customer). It’s available as a service on Amazon’s server infrastructure and is priced as a monthly service beginning at $75 per month for a individual or a one person support group in a company.

$150 per month for a company with multiple staff in one department and $250 per month for multiple staff in multiple departments.

In the sphere of web application there are bunch of good to-do tools - need to catch up with a lot of them. The idea of “have-done list” just recently came up and here it seems be nicely integrated with more other functions.
I will evaluate this tool soon…

[...] Shanghai based ZOpen, the provider of MyTodo, has launched Everydo. The service is a collaborative project management system. It covers all features you will ever need in your team project, such as managing your todo list, tracking every member’s progress, etc. The best way to get an idea of the system is to watch the demo videos.
