Aigaogao: A Chinese Desktop Blogging Tool

Aigaogao is a newly released Chinese desktop blogging tool that allows you to manage your blogs without opening any browser. Though it only support blogging host service by Donews and CSDNBlog, it has potential to become one of the best blogging client.

Why I think so? Because it has some wonderful features:

• Download all of your previously published posts from sites to make a local copy or to edit later
• The rich WYSIWYG editor and html code editor are both available
• Drag-and-drop to add links to previous posts, and to add images in local harddriver or in sites, local images can be uploaded automatically
• Customizable auto-link when editing posts
• Download all comments from site, manage and reply reply comments in client before upload all the new replys to sites
• Some useful image editing function

Aigaogao’s functions of published posts backup and comments local management is not usual but really useful when compared with similar weblog clients. Unlike other clients, it does not rely on MetaweblogAPI to manage blogs. If it will support more leading weblog systems and blog hosting service provider later, such as blogger.com, Movable Type, Wordpress, Drupal, MSN Spaces and etc., I think it may become one of the must-have blogging softwares.
