SubscribeFanswo Loses Founding Team
Guangzhou-based Fanswo is a community for fans of music stars. It was launched in Dec. 2006. It provides integrated services including personal profile, forum, video, photos and events, similar to Myspace. Previously it’s called Jaycn, a community about music star Jay Chou. After it’s launched into Fanswo, Jay Chou is still the hottest star in the community.
On July 6, Wu Meng, the founder of Fanswo, wrote a post on his personal blog, disclosing the departure of the founding team. The reason of their leaving is disagreement on strategy with the capital. Fanswo isn’t dead yet, but without the passionate founder, it’s close.
