Chinese Twitter Zuosa Supports QQ

ZuosaZuosa is another Chinese Twitter based in Suzhou. The founder of this service is IM veteran Alex Mou, also the founder of Bbqun, a Microsoft Live Messenger bot enabling group chatting.

As far as we know, QQ doesn’t have public interface for third party application. It seems they have succeeded in hacking it. Since QQ is the most popular IM tool in China, almost all Chinese Twitters can support QQ, such as Fanfou and Jiwai.de.

One of the unique feature of Zuosa is the binding with Twitter. The feature will syndicate your Zuosa updates to your Twitter account. Why would you use it? Because in this way, you can update Twitter with local SMS.

Chinese Twitter market is in its infancy, but has already been crowded. Does the market deserve the effort? Alex Mou’s words show more confidence than mine.

Our team has been specialized in building IM-based social network since 2005. Zuosa is just a new form of IM community where we can leverage our existing technology and experience. We will become a strong player in this IM-based social network market in China.

Alex is actively eating their own dog food. Being the second busiest man on my Twitter buddy list, I believe he must have ideas to make his new startup more interesting.

Update: CTwitter is a Twitter client by Alex’s company. It has been wildly tested by some early adopters.
