Link.Blogool.com: Sounds Like MyBlogLog With Tabs
Written By Chen Yanqing
Hangzhou-based blog search engine website Blogool released a blog widget service called “Bolin” in early June, since then they’ve improved a lot and began to get more attentions among Chinese bloggers.
This flash based blog widget service is similar to MyBlogLog’s because they look similar and Bolin has a tab called footprint which does the same thing as MyBlogLog’s widget by showing uploaded pictures of recent visitors to a blog. The difference though is that Bolin has a few more tabs. They use Bolin as the name of its main tab and show pictures of some randomly picked blogs among all registered blogs or just among user specified categories like IT, Entertainment. Users can also add tabs like Fanfou, Yupoo, flickr and del.icio.us to show their information on those websites. I think Bolin did a nice job to mash up with these useful web applications.
Another good thing about Bolin is adding its widget to your blog is quite simple. After registration and uploading your picture, you can register blogs in which you want to put the widget and customize the widget color and size. Also you can choose what kind of tabs you want to show in the flash widget. Then Bolin will generate a piece of html code that you can embed in your blogs and there you go. They support almost all the major BSPs in China (Blog service Suppliers) and have a nice help page to assist bloggers of each BSP.
Overall it’s a nice service for Blogool that has a potential of being very successful in China like MyBlogLog did in United States. Also as we reported earlier that Blogool was very active in exploring word of mouth market in blogs. They also rolled out some services including Blogool Trend which is similar to Google Trend. However, it has a little performance issue especially when comparing keywords.

Thank you very much for the attention to Blogool again.
This is just the beginning and we still have lots of important things to do to make our services more powerful and more popular. Later on, I suppose bolin or other services from blogool will have greater improvement.
