SubscribeYahoo China To Launch Map Service
cnBeta reported that Yahoo China will soon launch a online map service, but it is not accessible now. (Update: The service is online already.)
According to cnBeta, besides the ordinary online map service, Yahoo China’s online map allows all users to create their own placemarks with information, such as stories and photos, to share with others. We don’t know yet whether the map service allows you to create customized maps, similar to Google’s My Map, while MapABC recently launched a map diy service for you to annotate on your customized maps, a Google My Map-like service.
Currently, Google China and Baidu partnered with Mapabc and Mapbar respectively to provide online map service, so maybe Google China will launch My Map service in China later by cooperation with Mapabc.
