How Silicon Dragon is Winning the Tech Race?

Silicon DragonMore and more foreign investors are coming to China to pursue investment opportunities, but to understand Chinese tech industry environment is not easy. Maybe the new book by Rebecca Fannin, International Editor of the Hong Kong weekly Asian Venture Capital Journal, can help you.

The book, Silicon Dragon: How China is Winning the Tech Race, is based on her first-hand one-to-one interviews with many Chinese startups, entrepreneurs and their investors. It profiles 12 Chinese companies in-depth, including Baidu, Alibaba, Dangdang, Oak Pacific, Lingtu, Maxthon, Pingco and others. These companies are divided into two categories: copycats and innovators.

However, I’m just wondering that maybe it is still too early to say that China is winning the tech race, since it is still not easy for us to find innovations in China which have potentials to export to overseas countries. But some of the companies mentioned in Rebecca Fannin’s book have made the good start.

The book can be pre-ordered on Amazon now, and ships from the printer by early January.
