Changyou: Mobile Personal Relationship Management Service
Changyou.cc is a mobile service which just launched two days ago. It provides a Windows Mobile-based mobile and online service with the aim to enable mobile users to manage their relationship conveniently and efficiently.
What Changyou offers now is an easier way to backup your contact information online on Changyou’s server, and then restore it anytime anywhere. Actually the idea of Changyou is not new, myTT has been working on contact information online backup and restore for over two years, and it can also backup your SMS, calendar, to-do list and other personal information. But Changyou seems to be more user-friendly, for instance it will identify users’ SIM card automatically, instead of asking for users’ manual registration, and it fully integrates with the built-in address book of your phone.
Besides address book backup, Changyou also enables you to exchange vCards with your friends conveniently. If you called a phone number which is not in your address book, a popup window will display to ask whether you want to send vCard to this number.
Currently Changyou is still in its very early stage. But personal relationship management on mobile phone and the possible SNS service arround it would be an potential area to watch.
