When Netease announced its first quarter financial results, William Ding, founder and CEO of Netease, said that it will introduce new blog service in the third quarter of 2006. Maxthon and Vvlogger Raises Fund
Maxthon: As I reported in March, Maxthon, an IE-based internet browser, negotiated the investment with Charles River Ventures. Today, it goes official. Maxthon’s blog confirmed that CRV has invested in Maxthon. CRV joins early investors Morten Lund (Skype seed investor) and WI Harper who invested in Maxthon, June last year.

Toodou Finished Series B Funding
Toodou, a leading podcasting site in China, announced its series B funding of USD 8.5 million. From its news release:
Toodou.com announced the completion of an US$8.5 million, Series B financing round, co-led by Granite Global Ventures (GGV) and JAFCO Asia (JAFCO). IDG Technology Venture, the Series A round investor, also participated in the round.
