I got the confirmation from Wang Xing, founder of Xiaonei.com, that Xiaonei has no relationship with FaceBook. So it is just another example of China’s clone of successful site of Sillcon Valley.

Xiaonei (校内网, means “inside campus”) is a site with the same design as Facebook, and also provide similar services to college students, currently only Beijing University, Tsinghua University and People’s University of China.
